We haven't spoken in a while. I'm considering being less rude. I'll let you know how I get on with that. In the meantime:

A Few Things...
One
New shoes for pretty toes
Two
Rain. All summer. Not my favourite thing.
Three
Hair
- Plaits to disguise extreme frizz. (See weather report above.)
- BRILLIANT new shampoo. My hair is highlighted and it was looking really brassy and not very lovely at all. This shampoo neutralises all the too-warm, skanky tones and makes it all nice again. As you can tell, I'm going for the beauty blogger award here...
It's not expensive and it's in most chemists, I bought mine in Boots.

Someday
Today will probably go down in history as the most well-spent, productive Sunday I have ever spent. I packed all my belongings into boxes and my BRILLIANT parents came and carted it all away.
I'm moving to London town at the end of July and there is just no chance I could have carried all my possessions down there on the train - I am the proud owner of a huge amount of crap...
We went for lunch at a beautiful little Italian near my house in Newcastle and as it was sunny I had an excuse to wear a little summer dress (with a jumper over the top, lets not get ahead of ourselves, this is still Newcastle. It's bitter up north. Even in July.)
Jumper: H&M
Dress: Primark
Flipflops: Accessorize
Apologies for the horrendous quality phone photos - my camera is one of the aforementioned possessions and has gone away for now.
I also devised a wee playlist:

Two Things
One
Death Cab for Cutie in Manchester, I'd say more but I've only just got home and I'm struggling with life to say the least. Don't drink with boys...
Two
(I was about to say so good I could eat them, but apart from that being just plain weird, I've just attempted to eat the biggest, cheesiest pizza in the UNIVERSE and failed miserably. My insides hurt. So no food analogies please brain - they're just well good clothes.)

Dream Weekend
If I could do anything this weekend it would be:
♥ Pimms at Wimbledon (I'd like to at least start out with an attempt at decorum)
... and I would like to look exactly like Kirsten Dunst please.
(This is my dream weekend, I can do whatever I like)
♥ Glastonbury, obviously. Not that anyone's mentioned it.
(They have. They can stop it now. Cheersthankyouplease.)
I've just read the lineup. I could vomit. Jealousy is not pretty.
Fit.
♥ I would like to listen to Lady Gaga, I can do this. Heck, I AM doing this. Right now.
I have a LOT of love for her turquoise phase.
In reality:
♥ I wore my new white Converse (which no longer look like this as I managed to spill tomato juice on them... whoops!)

Scones
Last night I got home from work and despite being shattered I decided it would be an excellent idea to bake something. It turned out to be a brilliant idea! Baking can be therapeutic, relaxing and at the end of it you usually have something tasty and sugary to eat. Win, win, win and win.
I used the Mary Berry, My Kitchen Table book. Mary Berry is a bit of a baking legend, ask your mum, and your grandma, and all her mates down the W.I., seriously, she's the Lady Gaga of baked goods.
I would love to say that my baking turned out beautifully, it didn't. I'm terrible at deciding it may be a sensible, viable idea to deviate from the recipe. It isn't. Recipes are written for a reason. They include measurements for a reason. Follow them.
I did alright I suppose, I tried to substitute white self-raising flour for wholemeal self-raising flour. A tiny, insignificant adaptation you might think (I did). Well, no, it basically means you end up with flat, crumbly scones. Not ideal.
The scones I ended up with were not so easy on the eyes/mouth/stomach and they demanded a massive amount of time and patience if you wanted them buttered/jammed/clotted creamed. But they tasted AMAZING!
The moral of the story therefore;
Take the advice of the experts (they're almost certainly more knowledgeable than you are)
Read the recipe properly, follow it to the letter.
Enjoy the results.
Take all uneaten baked goods to work and revel in the compliments your workmates will bestow upon you - people will love you FOREVER in return for something sugary, home-baked and bad for them!

Bits and Blogs. Part 2.
Two.
Happy June!
To continue the riot that was my blog post yesterday I thought I'd restrict this one to what went on today. It's not alphabetical I'm afraid. Gutted. So:
I wore this to work.
Phone to mirror photos... I spoil you with my effort. But wait, it gets better.
Oh hello OVEREXPOSURE (and not in a good way)
I actually like it and I only have one eye, much like a pirate. Pass the rum.
Dress (worn as skirt): Primark
Sunglasses+Belt+Top: H&M
Shoes: Accessorize
Pre-work morning face.
So frightening it's dangerous to look directly into my eyes, hence the sunglasses.
Here's the lowdown on my accessories.
I'm reluctantly practical. I cycle to work so a rucksack is a must - I could struggle with a nice looking bag (I've tried and failed spectacularly) but I feel cycling to work in the first place is enough torture, I don't need bag-choke-hold/slippage/strap-in-wheel-spoke to contend with too.
I've recently got an iPhone (I won't gush like an annoying iPhone nob but I am blissfully in love, swoon) and I've been looking for a case. I've not found my perfect one yet (I have but it's too expensive. If anyone has cash just lying around to spare then please buy me this one? Pretty please?) so in the meantime I've bought a cheap one from John Lewis (£3.50!) and I've dotted it with glittery nail varnish. Yes it's sort of pre-teen chic but I like it... my housemate's reaction was a loud guffaw. Oh dear.
Lastly, as Fearne Cotton has been tweeting about how amazing the Fleet Foxes gig was she's just been to and I'm currently well jeal' here's some pretty music to soothe the intense envy rage. Sigh.
If you fancy real-time blithering nonsense you can follow me on twitter here.
Love
